We’re lucky enough to cook in one of the most beautiful towns in the country. If you’re visiting, here’s the short version from people who live here — and yes, you should eat at Nick’s before and after.
Before You Hike
Get to the trailheads early. Parking at Cathedral Rock, Devil’s Bridge and Soldier Pass fills up by 8 am in spring and fall. The Sedona Shuttle runs from Posse Grounds and the Park & Ride on 89A, a few minutes from us. Bring more water than you think you need.
A Few Local Favorites
- Boynton Canyon — a long, shady canyon hike, about 15 minutes from us.
- Red Rock Crossing — the classic Cathedral Rock view from Oak Creek.
- Airport Mesa — a short walk for sunset. Go early, it gets crowded.
- Oak Creek Canyon — the drive north on 89A toward Flagstaff, especially in October.
- Tlaquepaque — shops and galleries in Uptown.
After You Hike
Come get a plate of ribs and a cold drink. We’ve got plenty of parking and we don’t mind red dust on your boots.
